Gabe Wright Senior Interview

1. What are your plans after high school?

I plan to go to Iowa State to major in computer engineering

2. Tell us about the location you chose for your pictures and its significance to you.

Though we didn’t go to any place that had any sort of significance due to the weather that we experienced. Though for one of my pictures we used a monticello shirt and an independence shirt to show the places that I have come from and where I intend to go next.

3. What activities are you involved in and how have they shaped you into the person you are today?

Though I’m in band and choir i would say that band has been the major factor within my life that has changed me. Band helped me learn how to be more patient with more difficult tasks and helped me gain a calm state of mind.

4. If you could take a dream vacation to anywhere with anyone, where would you go and who would you take with you?

For a dream vacation the location of where I would go wouldn’t matter as long as I’m able to bring the ones that I care about then it sounds like a dream vacation to me.

5.What advice do you have for the underclassmen as a senior?

My advice is simple do your stuff on time, manage your time well, take college classes through the course of high school, and enjoy the little things.

6. Who has inspired you the most so far in life and how have they done that?

For people that have inspired me I’m not able to narrow it down to one person, I would say that each one of my family members have each inspired me in a different way. My parents with constantly working and still making the time to do stuff with the family. My eldest brother Austin with pursuing a difficult career in music because it's what he loves to do. My older brother Andrew working hard to develop his body and pursuing a career related to his passion.

7. What was your favorite thing about your session with us?

Having the dog become a part of the whole process of taking these pictures, and having these taken have made me realize how close I am to high school being over. (my pup Lucy, was snooping and checking out Gabe during the shoot)

8.What is your favorite memory from high school?

I didn’t have an overall favorite moment I would say my favorite memory in high school would be when i first came to Monticello I was expected to be treated as an outsider, but surprisingly I was welcomed as one of their own.
